Artist-in-Residence Workshop for Teens

This fall, our Artist-in-Residence Giles Laroche will share his artwork and lead our community in the creation of a large-scale Town of Reading collage. This hands-on workshop is your chance to help! We provide the materials, Giles provides the concept and instructions, so you just need to bring your creativity and enthusiasm. You may make decorative elements like flowers, trees, and animals, or more complex objects like vehicles and buildings. Have fun with friends while you help make this unique and meaningful community collage.

Open to teens in Grades 6 - 12. Reading residents given registration preference. Registration begins Monday, October 2.

As part of the residency, there will be a drop-in creation station as well as workshops for kids and adults. Plus, all are welcome to stop by the Studio on Saturday, November 4 when Giles will assemble the artwork. Come to observe the piece coming together, or grab some glue and help!
