Beads and Stories: Indigenous Jewelry Making Workshop with Thomas Green Series

Join indigenous artist and Massachusett Tribe Educator/Historian, Thomas Green in an introduction to seed beading for ages 10 and up. In this hands on workshop Green will teach the basics of creating a seed bead bracelet while sharing Massachusett traditions.  All materials provided.

If you want to gain mastery of sead beading and learn more about local tribal culture, please come back for the January 7th session @ 1:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend the January 7th class please cancel your registration so others may attend via email or by calling the library at 781-944-0840.

This program is generously sponsored by The Friends of the Reading Library. This series is the start of a collaboration between the OESJ, and RPL called Crafting Connections: Indegenous Art, Stories and Heritage.

Face coverings are not required and are welcomed while indoors at the Reading Public Library. Please follow the updated COVID-19 guidelines if you’ve tested positive, been in close contact, or are experiencing new symptoms.
