Wear Your Resistance: Exploring Images of Protest with Wee the People

Wear Your Resistance: Exploring Images of Protest with Wee the People

From the raised fist to the peace sign to the simple word "NO," symbols of protest have played a big role in protesting injustice and ushering in change.  Wear Your Resistance: Exploring Images of Protest will encourage kids to learn about different images of resistance and then choose one to make a T-shirt of your own. Led by Francie Latour, racial justice educator, facilitator, children's book author and co-founder of Wee the People.  Best for grades 2-5. Registration is required.

Wee the People is a Boston-based social justice project that aims to inspire youth to "notice injustice and discover the power of their own voices."

This program is part of the Reclaiming Your Story grant, graciously funded by the Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) Direct Grant Program.
