Roots, Shoots, and Branches: Storytelling Workshop for Grades 3-5

Children in grades 3-5 come join our special guest, Andrea Lovett, and learn to tell and enjoy family stories. Hear some wonderful family tales from Andrea, such as the time her family thought they lost their dog and the whole neighborhood turned out to search--only to find him taking an afternoon nap under the back porch. Kids will workshop their own stories and share them with others!

This program is part of the Reclaiming Your Story grant, graciously funded by the Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) Direct Grant Program.

The Reading Public Library asks that unvaccinated patrons continue to wear masks during indoor and outdoor library events when they can’t socially distance. For now, masks are required during Children’s programming for the safety of our youngest patrons who are ineligible for vaccination. Children 2 and under are exempt from face covering requirements. Please stay home if you’ve been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive or been diagnosed with COVID 19 in the past 14 days or are experiencing any of the following new symptoms as listed on the state’s website.
