From HIV to Covid 19: The Social and Scientific Response-On Zoom

Forty years into the HIV pandemic and two years into the COVID-19 pandemic: we ask where are we, how did we get here, and where are we going? Join long-time HIV survivors Paul Glass and Fabien Denry in conversation with  Dr. Howard Heller, an Infectious Disease Specialist, to reflect on the social and scientific response to two deadly outbreaks. Fabien Denry is a member of The LGBTQIA+ Aging Project Community and a long time HIV survivor.

Howard M. Heller MD MPH is a member of the Infectious Disease Division at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, he teaches at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard-MIT Health Science and Technology (HST) program and is the Senior Advisor for Clinical Partnerships at the Massachusetts Consortium on Pathogen Readiness (MassCPR). Dr. Heller is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Infectious Disease Board, the Infectious Disease Exam Committee and has previously served as President of the Massachusetts Infectious Disease Society.

This program is part of the Reclaiming Your Story grant, graciously funded by the Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) Direct Grant Program.
