Pet Toys for Shelter Cats & Dogs

We're not the only ones having a tough time during this pandemic.  Our little furry friends needs some special attention too.  Attend our outdoor demonstration on how to make some fun cat and dog toys. After you have completed your toys at home, drop them off in the Teen Room and we will deliver them to the local shelters.

This event is free and open to students entering grades 5 through 12.  Registration required.

Following this event, take-home cat & dog toy kits will be available in the Teen Room everyday while supplies last. Be sure to pick one up the next time you are in the library.

The Reading Public Library asks that unvaccinated patrons continue to wear masks during indoor and outdoor library events when they can’t socially distance. For now, masks are required during Children’s programming for the safety of our youngest patrons who are ineligible for vaccination.  Please stay home if you’ve been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive or been diagnosed with COVID 19 in the past 14 days or are experiencing any of the following new symptoms as listed on the state’s website.
