Learn about the animator Lottie Reiniger, a pioneer of silhouette animation, and create your own shadow box theater! Using a story you already know, or one from your imagination, you'll make silhouettes of characters and props. The theater will be lit from behind by the light on a smartphone or flashlight.

This hands-on art class is for kids entering grades 2-5 in the fall.

The Reading Public Library asks that unvaccinated patrons continue to wear masks during indoor and outdoor library events when they can’t socially distance. For now, masks are required during Children’s programming for the safety of our youngest patrons who are ineligible for vaccination. Children 2 and under are exempt from face covering requirements.
