Animart: Hedwig Anamorphic Drawing

Animart: Hedwig Anamorphic Drawing

"Animart" is animal inspired art! Each month this summer features a virtual workshop just for teens to explore the intersection of art & form with animals as the subject. Be creative all summer long!

This month, create a drawing of Hedwig that appears to hover above the surface. Pop up Art School will show you step-by-step how to create an anamorphic drawing which uses forced perspective to create an illusion. Plus learn about the fascinating history of this art form. Free for teens entering grades 6-12.

Materials:

  • Printed PDF (will be emailed or provided in advance of the workshop)
  • Printer paper (thicker paper is not recommended as you'll be tracing)
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Scissors
  • Colored pencils (optional)
