Reading Rockets: An #ownvoices Parent & Child Book Discussion Group for Grades 5-6

Each month we'll discuss #ownvoices books for kids. This online discussion group is designed for students in grades 5 & 6 and their caregiver; together we'll talk about characters, setting, language, art and much more. WHO is your favorite (or least favorite) character? WHY did they make the choices they did? WHAT would you do if you were in the same situation?

Sign up below with information about both the student(s) and the caregiver(s) who will attend. When you register, you are signing up for both of our Fall discussions: October 21 and November 18. Information about Winter discussions will be forthcoming.

November's titles: New Kid and Class Act by Jerry Craft

Copies of the books will be provided to participants. After you register, a librarian will contact you about scheduling a time to pick up your books.

A Zoom link will be emailed to participants 48 hours in advance.
