Virtual "So You Want to Write a Novel"

Have you ever wondered whether you could write a novel? Have you started one, finished a draft, or gotten stuck somewhere in between? Whatever stage you’re at (newbie to experienced, fan fic writer or even just curious), this 2-part workshop with author Katie Bayerl will give you the building blocks you need to create a successful story. Attendance at both sessions required: 1:00-2:30pm Monday 7/27 & Thursday 7/30.

The sessions will be packed with fun activities and exercises that will help you get to know your character, build a strong plot, and create your story’s world. There will be lots of time to talk and share ideas with the group too. All genres and categories of writing are welcome.

Open to teens entering grades 6-12. Registration required. Space is limited; priority given to Reading residents. Register below beginning July 6. This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent at least an hour prior to the start of the program to the email given at registration. Be sure to check your spam box if the invite does not appear in your inbox.
