Juneteenth Freedom Festival
Come celebrate culture and community at the Fourth Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 15, from 1:00-7:00 p.m.
Celebrating the anniversary of the freedom granted to enslaved African Americans, Freedom Fest centers around music, food, and celebrating black culture. The entire community is invited to help create a space of belonging for BIPOC residents, visitors, students/families, and businesses. We will also provide space for non-profit organizations with anti-racist or DEIA-focused missions.
If you want to volunteer at the event, please complete this form.
Join us for the Juneteenth Freedom Fest:
- A Pop-up Marketplace: featuring BIPOC vendors and organizations with anti-racist or DEIA-focused missions.
- Food and Beverages: including beer, non-alcoholic, Halal, and/or culturally black cuisine options.
- Live musical performances and DJ
This event is sponsored by the Office of Equity and Social Justice, the Town of Reading, and the Reading Public Library.
