Bike Maintenance Workshop

Bike Maintenance Workshop

Flat tires, grinding gears, rubbing derailleurs, and squeaky chains are your bike’s cry for help. Ready to learn how to prevent or eliminate these annoyances from your beloved bike?  A well-maintained bike can help make riding smooth and efficient.

Join REI bike mechanics for a workshop on how to care for and maintain your bike’s wheels, derailleurs, and chains. We will tune derailleurs, adjust shifting, diagnose common chain issues, and fix flat tires.  Along the way, you will learn best practices for care and cleaning with plenty of get-your-hands-dirty learning.  Practice bikes and wheels will be available.  Participants are welcome to bring their own wheels.

Participants will be entered into a drawing for a REI full-service bike tune-up (valued at $140.00)
