Disability Pride Month

Disability Pride is celebrated each July in commemoration of the July passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. For those who feel pride in their disabled identities, Pride Month is a very welcome—indeed liberatory—supplement to more widely accepted awareness days.
