March Matinees: The Stratford Festival, Ontario, Canada. "Merry Wives of Windsor"
If you have preconceptions of Shakespearean productions as featuring men in tights whose necks are festooned with uncomfortable-looking Elizabethan ruffs, throw them away!! There are few theatrical companies on the planet who produce Shakespeare's plays with the panache and gusto of Ontario's Stratford Festival. This version of Merry Wives of Windsor sets the 400+ year old play in the 1950s. Join us for this final iteration of March Matinees: it may well change your idea of what an afternoon with The Bard can be!
