Community Beading: Help Create a Piece of Art for the Library!
Join Indigenous artist and Massachusett Tribe Educator/Historian, Thomas Green, as we create a community art project for the Reading Public Library. Drawing on traditional methods, participants will create a small section of a larger piece designed especially for the Library by Thomas Green. Once all the segments are finished, they will be woven together and the final piece of artwork will be put on display at the Library.
All materials will be provided. Previous beading experience is helpful, but not necessary.
A Zoom meeting will be held on August 30 at 6:30 to talk about the project, but attendance is not required to participate in the September program.
Thanks to the Friends of the Reading Public Library for sponsoring this event.
