Spring is On the Way ... and So Are the Birds!!

The Spring migration is right around the corner and now is the time to practice learning about the avian jewels that will be pouring through our area starting in April. This presentation will explore the colorful songbirds that either breed here or pass through on their journey North. Thrushes, Vireos, Orioles, Flycatchers, and more than 25 species of Warblers.  Strategies on how to find and identify these beautiful birds will be covered.  Many of these avian gems are only here for less than a month, so you don't want to miss this presentation!

Dave Williams is a life-long resident of Reading who has been birding for over 40 years.  He is a graduate of MA Audubon's "Birders Certificate Program” and is actively involved in the Brookline Bird Club.  Dave is a retired middle school science teacher who now volunteers as an educator and naturalist at Massachusetts Audubon's Joppa Flats sanctuary where he works with school groups and leads bird walks.
