Active Bystander Training: Standing up to Harassment
If you are a bystander witnessing someone being harassed, you have a choice to make: stand up or stand back?
The Training Active Bystanders (TAB) program helps participants recognize and analyze when they are bystanders in a situation, and develop skills to be able to evaluate the consequences for everyone involved. The TAB curriculum heightens bystanders' power. It teaches how bystanders can interrupt harm doing and generate positive actions by others.
This workshop will give you the tools to stand up, say something and help to build a safer community together.
Registration required. Registration opens April 14. Preference given to Reading residents. This is primarily for adults, however those ages 12 and up are welcome to attend.
This program is co-sponsored by Reading Public Library and Reading Embraces Diversity (R.E.D.)
