Image result for kokedamaFeatured Activity: Create a Kokedama Moss Ball. Give back to the world by creating your own mini garden! Kokedama is a form of Japanese garden art that is centuries old.  It is the practice of taking the root ball of a plant (fern) and suspending it in a ball of mud, which is then covered with soft green moss. Demetra Tseckares, organic gardening expert and owner of “Gardens by Demetra,” will lead us through the creation of these suspended plant spheres. The workshop is free and all materials are provided. For teens entering grades 6-12. Registration required.
